Our spiritual Path Begins

In April of 2021, I became very nauseated and could not get any relief. After a couple of days, I realized I needed to see a doctor.. So my wife and I went to the Urgent Care close to our home. After the x-rays there, I was told I needed to go to the emergency room at our local hospital. I was then informed that I would need surgery that very same night. I told the medical staff lets do it and for the first time in my life I had surgery to remove a blockage in my intestines. After a follow up visit with my surgeon, I was informed that I had stage 3 colon cancer. Now, I must say I was relieved when he informed me that he removed the  part of my intestines that contained cancerous polyps. However, I would have to visit a cancer doctor for follow up. Upon my visit with the the cancer doctor she reminded me that I had stage 3 colon cancer. But I told her it was removed. She then recommended that I start chemotherapy. But I thought it was removed? She gave me 72 hours to make a decision. It did not take me long to give her the answer. In my spirit, I saw a man waving a giant red flag saying No don't do that. So always doing my best to listen to the Lord, I rejected chemo. I was due in 4 months to receive the second part of my original surgery to lets say put everything back in order. In November of 2021 I received the second surgery. Boy was I excited to get this done. I was on a high far greater than any drug could produce. I was so excited that I decided while I was lying in that hospital bed that I would give everybody that walked in that room a scripture verse. Every day I would give them a new one. On day 1 the scripture was Isaiah 54:17. " No weapon formed against me shall prosper". I would tell them it does not say no weapon will be formed against me because look at me. I am lying in a hospital bed. It says no weapon formed against me shall prosper. On day 2 I did the same thing with another scripture verse. A nurse came in one day and told me she loves coming into my room because she is uplifted when she leaves. Now on day 3 the devil walks in. It was one of my doctors and the devil used him to tell me they had to remove my appendix and when they did it looked really bad. He told me I might have to have my colon removed. What how could this be? " The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy". John 10 10.  That comment slowed me down for a short time, but it was not long after that I was back to my scripture a day ministry. After I left the hospital I was over joyed that I would lead a normal life again. However, the news that I might have to my colon removed was of deep concern. It was at that moment that the Holy Spirit reminded of a scripture. 1 Peter 2 24 " By His Stripes You were Healed"  The Lord showed me that this was in the past tense. Healing from Jesus had already been provided when he died on the cross. All I needed to do was receive it. I think so many Christians are waiting on their healing. It is already done. Healing is a gift and like any gift we have to reach out and receive it. Well the time came for my doctor's appointment to have my staples removed and learn the results of the lab report. I told my wife all week I am healed, now the doctor needs to believe that too. After he removed my staples he informed us of the lab report concerning my appendix. BENIGN! Thank You Jesus No more scans, visits or surgeries needed. I will never forget his words. "Steve, you are good to go."
